About us
Our course is provided by Online CPD Academy, trading as Manual Handling Training (“we”, “us”, “our”). The version of these terms in force at the date of your purchase will apply to your booking. If you have any questions about these terms or about a course you have booked, you can contact us by email at info@onlinecpdacademy.co.uk or by phone on 0808 164 2780.

Course access & intellectual property
When you purchase the course, we grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the platform and course content for your own personal learning or for the internal training purposes of the organisation that has booked on your behalf.
Use of our website, dashboard and course content must comply with legal standards and ethical conduct. This includes avoiding cheating, plagiarism or any misconduct as set out in our Malpractice and Plagiarism Policy. All course content — including text, video, images and assessments — is our intellectual property and must not be reproduced, distributed or altered without permission. You may not:
- copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or otherwise share the course content with any third party;
- resell, sub-licence, rent or commercially exploit the materials in any way;
- transfer your licence or login credentials to another person; or
- attempt to copy, reverse engineer or repurpose any part of the platform or course.
Where a purchaser is booking for others, they must nominate a coordinator to manage learner enrolments and course distribution. Login credentials will be provided to the coordinator, who must securely share them with learners and is responsible for ensuring learners understand and follow these terms.
We do not guarantee practical competency as a result of course completion. Course formats, availability and the dashboard may be updated or withdrawn at our discretion, for example to reflect changes in legislation or best practice. Where necessary, course details may be shared with accrediting bodies to maintain certification standards, and we may request proof of identity to meet the requirements of those bodies; failure to comply may result in course termination.
Payment
The course is priced at £14 per learner. We accept payment by credit or debit card (online or by phone), by bank transfer in response to an invoice, or by cheque in response to an invoice. All card transactions are processed securely. Access to a course will only be granted once full payment has been received and cleared.
Delivery process
Once payment is confirmed, an email with instructions on how to access the course platform will be sent. If you do not receive it, please check your junk or spam folder, or email us at info@onlinecpdacademy.co.uk. Where a booking covers more than one learner, the coordinator can assign learners to the course via our dashboard, and each learner will then receive their login credentials.
Access and completion
Dashboard access
Dashboard access begins upon purchase and may be withdrawn if unused for 12 months, or at our discretion, to keep accounts secure and current.
Course access
Course credits never expire until they're used — unused course places stay on your account until you assign them to a learner, so you can buy now and enrol staff whenever you're ready. Once a learner is enrolled, course availability begins and they have up to 190 days to complete the course, which includes a multiple-choice assessment with an 80% pass mark. Assessment resits are free and unlimited — you can retake the assessment as many times as you need until you pass, at no extra cost.
Managing accounts
- Access may be revoked without refund if these terms are violated.
- Login details must not be shared with unauthorised users.
- Only coordinators or purchasers can request account changes.
- Learner logins cannot be transferred once the course has been accessed.
- All change requests must be sent to info@onlinecpdacademy.co.uk and will be handled within 48 hours.
Refunds
A refund is available only where you have not yet started the course and you request the refund within 14 calendar days of your purchase. Once a course has been accessed, it is treated as having been used and is no longer eligible for a refund. Requests should be sent by email and must include:
- your order ID;
- your full name;
- your email address and phone number;
- your billing address; and
- your purchase receipt.
If a refund is approved, you must delete any course materials in your possession, both digital and printed, and you will no longer be entitled to access the course. Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation or refund rights you may have as a consumer.
Invoices and receipts
Purchase receipts are emailed upon transaction. If any information on your receipt is incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours so that we can amend it.
Privacy and data protection
Details of how we handle your personal information are set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Liability
Our course is provided to support manual handling awareness and training. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the course is limited to the price you paid for it, unless otherwise covered by our professional indemnity insurance. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or business-related losses. Except as expressly set out in these terms, we give no warranties or guarantees beyond your statutory rights, and nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. This is standard for UK consumer contracts and does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the law of the country in which you live.
